Effective family law mediation requires more than extensive experience and knowledge of the law.  An effective family law mediator must have the ability to quickly distill the issues in order to provide parties with a cost-effective and unbiased assessment of their case.

Michael Molenda, Family Law MediatorMichael Molenda is a family law mediator and attorney who has extensive experience in both litigation and mediation.  He was appointed by Dakota County District Court judges in approximately 100 cases before the State-wide guardian ad litem program went into effect.  He has spent thousands of hours in Minnesota courtrooms.  He is familiar with the legal process.  Mike uses this experience and his unique skills as a mediator to propose solutions and to achieve results through the mediation process.

Mike is a Financial Early Neutral Evaluator (FENE) and Social Early Neutral Evaluator (SENE) for the Dakota County Early Neutral Evaluation program.

Comfortable and Convenient Mediation Facilities

Mediations can be scheduled throughout the Twin Cities.  However, if the parties seek a neutral location, mediations can be scheduled at Mike's offices in Apple Valley, Minnesota, which feature large conference rooms, free Wi-Fi and other access to technology.  Our goal is to provide a comfortable and inviting environment to parties as they work through the difficult questions presented by most family law mediations.

Selecting a Mediator

Parties generally choose a mediator who has education, training and experience that is relevant to their dispute. If the mediator has knowledge in a specific area of law, then the parties can spend less time educating the neutral and more time focusing on the merits of the case.  Because Mike Molenda has spent many years representing family law clients, he understands the issues presented during mediation and can move immediately to resolve them.

Court-Certified Mediation Services

If a family law dispute is already in litigation, the mediator selected by the parties must be a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.  Mike Molenda is a qualified neutral and is a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court's roster for family law neutrals.

Our family law attorneys serve clients throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, with a particular focus on the South Metro and the cities of Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Bloomington, Richfield, Lakeville, Mendota Heights, West St. Paul, Inver Grove Heights, Cottage Grove, Rosemount, Hastings and Farmington.
