Jeff D. Metcalf assists clients with many different litigation issues and legal disputes.

Jeff graduated with degrees in Political Science and History before attending law school at the University of St. Thomas. During his law school studies, he practiced as a student attorney in the school's legal clinic and participated in the William McGee National Civil Rights Moot Court competition. Before joining the firm, Jeff was a judicial law clerk for a Minnesota district court judge, where he performed legal research, drafted judicial orders, and recommended legal decisions. The clerkship taught Jeff how judges evaluate cases, and what arguments and advocacy techniques they find most persuasive. Jeff frequently uses this experience when representing clients.

At Dougherty Molenda, Jeff assists in litigation matters involving a variety of practice areas and industries, including the following:

When away from the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and three young daughters. He also tries to play competitively in basketball and curling leagues, though his best days as an athlete are far behind him.
