Laura Brooks is an associate with the firm. She regularly assists clients with a variety of personal and business litigation matters.

During law school, Laura Brooks developed her litigation and mediation skills inside and outside the classroom. She was part of the Mediation Representation Team, President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Student Group, and selected to the ACTL Mock Trial Team. After law school, she continued to served as an adjunct professor and tutor at Michell Hamline School of Law, where she assisted students with legal writing and bar exam preparation.

Following law school, Laura Brooks served as a judicial law clerk to John Scherer (Seventh District) and Philip Carruthers (Fourth District). In her roles as a law clerk, Laura had the unique opportunity to understand Minnesota's court system. She attended hearings, performed legal research, assisted judges in preparing orders consistent with Minnesota law and became familiar with Minnesota's electronic filing system.

At Dougherty Molenda, Laura uses her strong academic background and practical legal experience to assist the firm's clients with a variety of litigation matters, ranging from simple to complex. Laura plays an active role in all aspects of the firm's litigation practice, including early evaluations, depositions, motions, trials, arbitrations, mediations and appeals.
