Overview

Jim Sheldon served clients in a general counsel capacity for individuals, closely held businesses, and nonprofit organizations, with an emphasis on estate planning, probate, business succession planning, nonprofit law, and real estate matters. He also brought substantial municipal law experience to his practice, having served as principal city attorney for the City of Apple Valley (1975–2000) and the City of Eagan (1987–2000).

Jim was active in the South Metro business community and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dakota Electric Association, a 117,000-member electric cooperative. He also served as a qualified Rule 114 Neutral under the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.
